TGIThursday

TGIThursday is back for 2023-24!

QMUSU are so pleased to confirm that we will be working alongside QMU once again to run TGIT (Thank Goodness It's Thursday) for another year! Started up by Kat Lord, Senior Lecturer in Psychology Sociology & Education, during the peak of the cost-of-living crisis, the award-winning TGIT initiative aims to provide QMU students with a free hot meal and some time to socialise with peers every Thursday evening. We are so grateful to all of the volunteers who continue to give up their time to support our students, and the event's reboot would not be possible without both them and the BaxterStorey catering team, who work hard to provide food for our students. TGIT will take place Thursday evenings from 5-7PM down in 1875 (The Canteen), with our first one taking place Thursday 28th September. We will have hot food ready and a welcoming environment for all students to take part in, and, if there's enough food leftover, you may even be able to take a filled takeaway container with you to enjoy after the event. We look forward to seeing you there!

TGIThursday is a joint initiative between the Students’ Union and the University. It’s part of a broader programme of work to support students through the cost of living crisis. For more information, head to the QMU website.
