Queen Margaret University Netball Club 💙🏐

Whether you’ve never picked up a netball before, haven’t played since school, or have played competitively for years, Queen Margaret University Netball Club (QMUNC) has a place for you!

We’re a friendly and inclusive club that combines competitive netball, regular training, and a busy social calendar. We have opportunities for players of all abilities, whether you’re looking to learn the basics, improve your skills, get back into the sport, or compete at university level.

Our competitive teams compete in BUCS, giving players the opportunity to represent QMU and play against other universities. We also offer recreational netball for those who want to play without the commitment of competitive matches.

Training sessions are held on Tuesdays from 5-7 pm in the QMU Sports Hall and are designed to help players develop their fitness, skills, and gameplay. Competitive matches generally take place on Saturdays.

But QMUNC isn’t just about netball! 💃 We have a packed social calendar throughout the year, with everything from nights out and themed events to team activities and our annual Round Robin Tournament, and we tend to spend the majority of our Wednesday nights out at our sponsor, The Three Sisters. Whether you’re coming along to training or just looking to meet new people, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

We’re also passionate about giving back and supporting charitable causes through fundraising events year-round. 🩷

TO BUY MEMBERSHIP FOR THIS SOCIETY, YOU MUST BUY HIGH S&S AFFILIATION FIRST.

It can be bought here: https://www.qmusu.org.uk/groups/affiliation-high

Once you’ve purchased high affiliation, it will unlock the Netball membership, which you will then be able to purchase.

 

TERMS OF MEMBERSHIP

• Pay the appropriate affiliation fees and any required team/group fees.
• Attend training/group sessions/meetings regularly.
• Be available (within reason) to support the teams at their home games.
• Support the committee with team decisions - your Captain/President’s decision is final.
• Adhere to the conditions set in the QMUSU Code of Conduct.
• Report any actions that you observe that go against the QMUSU Code of Conduct to your Captain/President or other appropriate person.
• Be respectful of your fellow members and those of other Sports & Societies.
• Members must have a valid reason for not attending training and inform their Captain beforehand. 
• Attend socials to support our sponsor, The Three Sisters
