Welcome to QMU Dance!

 

 

QMU Dance strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment where dancers of all abilities feel welcomed and valued!

 

We hope all members can learn new dance skills regardless of previous experience and abilities. To do this we offer both recreational and competition classes throughout the year.

 

For the 26/27 season we will be offering:

Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Jazz, HipHop, Commercial, Highland, Latin, & wildcard. - which will all be performing at our End of year Showcase on Sunday 11th April 2027. 

 

 

 

Competition Teams

For those wishing to compete this season, we will be holding auditions during week 2 (W/B 28th sept) during their comp class time. You DO NOT need previous comp experience to auditon!! in fact, alot of our comp team members have never competed before, so don't be shyyy ☺️

 

Our comp teams compete across the country in Semester 2 (usually february). 

Our styles entering the 26/27 season are Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, HipHop, Ballet, Highland & Wildcard!

 

 

 

Socials & Fundraisers 

Dance is a fantastic way to take a break from University to relax, enjoy yourself, and meet new people. 

Some things we have planned so far:

- WELCOME NIGHT

-  Pub Golf

- Halloween Party

- Christmas Dinner

- Sober sip n paint

Throughout the academic year we will be hosting exciting events for all members to attend - Big welcome night, halloween party, pub golfs, sip & paints, movie nights, bake sales, team bonding nights, workshops & many more. We try to make sure theres something for everyone.

TO BUY MEMBERSHIP FOR THIS SOCIETY YOU MUST BUY HIGH S & S AFFILIATION FIRST.

It can be bought here: https://www.qmusu.org.uk/groups/affiliation-high

 

Once you've purchased high affiliation, it will unlock the Dance membership which you will then be able to purchase. 

Everyone who takes part in dance must purchase both High affiliation, and the Dance Membership.

However if after Competition auditions you are successful in joining a team you must ALSO then buy the competition membership too.
